NEW – Download the DK12 2021-2022 School Year Calendar (EXCEL File) I came across a free online curriculum called, Discovery K12. I had no idea what I was doing when it came to curriculum for him so I had to scour the internet for help. Even if you can make DK12 work for you, BE WARY: -Keep physical documentation of your child's assignment/progress/grades/etc (Once you close an account, there is no access to that info any more - no attendance records, grades, nothing)-Always check the sites before they click on them -Verify all materials to assure correct -AND be careful of the *** account issues as it truly adds no value to the programs or quality of learning for the child nor ability for Parents to interact/be involved.īBB Business Profiles may not be reproduced for sales or promotional purposes.īBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. The customer service is subpar, and yes they charge and charge again for no real product or service and no methods for eliminating the headache of unauthorized charges from past customers. The site layout seems easy enough to navigate, but it is very difficult to make the program work due to the lack of options and curriculum goals for instance. However, the information is outdated, repetitive(not in a positive manner, but literally repeat assignments - NOT 180 days of learning!), and inaccessible many times. Now, they charged my card the $99 again, after one year of not only no activity but no account from which to have activity!I thoroughly believe the intent of Discovery K12 was good at one point in time. I finally gave up on the site, and never received a refund though I tried, and as I previously stated, I unenrolled my son from the program. It gives kids choices like kids being able to choose their own electives but it lays down the law such as if kids are late to class they get. Literally, nothing changes except being able to see grades and make transcripts which I could NEVER get to actually work. So I decided, against my better judgment, to purchase the *** account so I could gain access to all of the great features DK12 apparently has.but there are none. I initially thought the program was ok but I started realizing there was much I could not control, view about my son's progress, or interact with any grades/worksheets/sites/etc. Same Issue - I not only enrolled him in another program, but I emailed support and unenrolled him from DK12, which took some wrestling to get accomplished.
